The Career Wardrobe Doubles Client Services Space with Move to New Facility

In order to keep pace with the rising demand for its services, The Career Wardrobe announces the relocation of its client service offices to a new 5,000 square-foot faciity at 21 S. 12th Street (suite 110) in June 2010.

Just around the corner from its current location, this first floor space gives The Career Wardrobe greater visibility and accessibility for both clients and donors. With the dressing suite doubling its size, the organization will be able to accommodate more appointments for women in need of interview wardrobe, skills, and mentoring.

The new space will have five dressing rooms allowing The Career Wardrobe to serve 10 women per hour. Increased storage will allow for better use and organization of professional clothing donations. With The Wardrobe Boutique, The Career Wardrobe’s resale boutique, accepting donations Tues.-Sat. at 1822 Spring Garden St., the new location will collect donations by appointment only, allowing staff and volunteers to focus on services.

The new Career Wardrobe office has also been selected as a location for a Women's Wellness Guide interactive kiosk, a program of the PA Commission for Women providing access to health care information for underserved women. 

With unemployment reaching record highs in recent years, demand for The Career Wardrobe’s services is rapidly rising. Last year, more than 8,000 women struggling to enter or reenter the workforce after being downsized or unemployed turned to their safety net, The Career Wardrobe, for resume review, professional clothing, and a caring hand to help them move forward. Since 1995, The Career Wardrobe has assisted over 70,000 women by inspiring the confidence necessary to recognize their capacity for self-reliance and achieving independence.

• From June 15-June 30, 2010 we ask that clothing be donated to The Wardrobe Boutique so that we can have time to organize our new office space and inventory management room.  Clothing can be donated to 21 S. 12th Street by appointment after July 1 by calling 215-568-6693.
