Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia Shares Experience and Inspiration with Women Transitioning to Work
Seminar hosted by The Career Wardrobe and sponsored by
Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia seeks to empower low-income women
PHILADELPHIA – The Career Wardrobe, the Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization that assists women transitioning into the workforce from welfare by providing professional outfits and career skills, hosted Success Starts with You, a breakfast seminar for 30 participants sponsored by Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia with speaker Jane Stimmler, CEO of The Marketing Edge, on Wednesday, July 29, 2009.
“We are excited to offer this opportunity to our clients,” says Sheri Cole, Executive Director of The Career Wardrobe. “In such difficult economic times, our clients need to know their community supports them and both the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia and Ms. Stimmler have stepped up to provide information and inspiration.”
The Success Starts with You seminar featured a lively discussion led by Claire Walcott, Assistant Human Resources Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, of the common promotion obstacles many employees face when embarking on a new career. The Four Seasons Hotel is sponsoring this inspiring event as part of the hotel’s celebration of its 25th Anniversary in Philadelphia.
Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia hosted a clothing and accessories drive for The Career Wardrobe in April. “After that experience,” according to General Manager, Harry Gorstayn, “our employees were excited to become more involved with the Professional Women’s Network where women meet monthly to share experiences and motivate one another to take their careers to the next level.”
Jane Stimmler rounded out the morning with a presentation on How to be your Best Self at Work. “I was honored to speak to this group of women who are looking to The Career Wardrobe for support and guidance. By attending today’s event, they were making a commitment and taking an important step in achieving personal success.” Stimmler is a marketing communications consultant and is co-author the new book Breaking Into the Boys’ Club,
