Volunteer Orientation is held the 2nd Thursday of the month at 1:30pm.
In order to keep the attendance of these orientations managable,
Return the form to The Career Wardrobe prior to orientation.

Upon receipt of your form, a staff member will call to confirm the orentation date.

Clothing

Boutique Staff: Help women visiting The Career Wardrobe find that perfect interview outfit! The Career Wardrobe will train you to greet clients who come to The Wardrobe for their appointments and assist them as they search for an appropriate outfit to wear for their job interviews. Other duties include sorting inventory and donations (some lifting involved) and general office tasks as needed.

Time Requirement: Monday through Friday, 10am-4pm, Center City, Philadelphia.
Boutique Staffers must be available to work a regular schedule (as little as 1 hour a week)

Consignment and Sales Assistant: Can you spot designer/vintage items? Are you an expert retailer, or just love to shop? Help us turn inappropriate donated items into funds that support our programs! Visit The Wardrobe once a month to check out inventory and turn inappropriate donations into program funds.

Donation Assistant: Assist with collecting and sorting donations during The Wardrobe's monthly clothing drives:

Center City Clothing Drive
3rd Tuesday of each month at
1211 Chestnut Street, 5:30-7:30pm
East Falls Clothing Drive
2nd Wednesday of each month at
Falls Presbyterian Church, 6:00-8:00pm

Skills Building

Career Leader: Help our clients make a great first impression on paper! Work on our Client Help Desk where clients submit a resume or business question. We will pair you with a client to work with them via e-mail or telephone. Leaders must submit resume and work experience prior to assignments.

Job Search Skills Consultant: Do you have work related experience to share? Join us for our Job Search Skills Hours at the beginning of our monthly Gateway to Success Seminars.
Time requirement: 8:00am to 9:30am, once a month, locations vary

Workshop Facilitator: Share your skills in the working environment. Applicants MUST submit resume and workshop experience, and meet one on one on an as-needed basis with our Education and Outreach Manager.

Time Requirement: Generally one hour and The Wardrobe will assign one regular monthly location. Workshops are presented Monday through Friday, between 9:30am - 3:30pm Times/locations vary.

Committees
Many committees meet in the evening and/or via conference call.

Ambassadors Club speak to other groups throughout the region about how to get involved with us and help us increase support. Times and locations vary.

A Perfect Fit Auction committee helps plan the silent auction for our annual fundraising event which attracts over 300 people and raises nearly $60,000!

Corporate Sponsorship Committee helps raise money for The Career Wardrobe through your connections with corporations.

Promotions and Marketing Committee assits with communications and connections.

Shopping Events Committees coordinates special events for The Wardrobe, create relationships with area retailers and individuals to increase awareness and support and raise much-needed operating support to ensure that The Career Wardrobe can continue providing the support that women need to succeed!
